Shawn and Christy Chisholm were married in 1999. They have two children, Nathaniel and Anna. They became members at Heritage in 2011 when they moved to North Fort Worth. Shawn is the Deputy Director of the North Central Texas Trauma Regional Advisory Council and has been a paramedic for 17 years. Shawn is very active in the Boy Scouts of America. He is the Troop 336 Chaplain and serves on the BSA National Health and Safety Committee.
Christy is a certified teacher and currently works as a Special Education Educator at Tidwell Middle School. Prior to moving, Christy was the preschool teacher at Park Row Christian Academy. A little known fact about her is that she served in the US Army as a Medical Service Corps Officer for 6 years. She spends her free time making beautiful costumes for ballets.
Shawn served as a Shepherd at Park Row Church of Christ in Arlington for several years prior to moving to Heritage. During their time there, Shawn developed and taught adult courses, while Christy served on the praise team. Together, they led several small group’s studies and served where needed.
George and Jan Cunningham have been attending Heritage/Midtown for over 20 years, beginning when their children were just infants. They have two children, Angela, born in 1981, and Christopher, born in 1984. George is the owner of a property and casualty insurance agency consulting business and his wife is employed in the health insurance field.
They are both active in the children’s ministry on Sunday mornings during the second worship service, working with children that are old enough to walk, but younger than two. They both enjoy the family atmosphere of Heritage and are so thankful for the many friends they have made over the years there. You will usually find George at the southeast entrance to the auditorium on Sunday mornings and Jan in Room 18 with the little ones until just prior to the first worship service. You will also find them both in Room 18 in the children’s wing during the second worship service. George has been a shepherd at Heritage/Midtown since 2000.
Born 1957, raised in Church of Christ. 5 children, several grandchildren. Have been involved in ministry from teenage years on, youth minister, pulpit minister, deacon, adult education, missions. Involved in the Pro-Life ministry and the persecuted church.
Life long member of the church. Riverside to Midtown to Heritage. Married to Denise for 30 years. We have three kids Alan, Amanda, and Luke. Also one awesome grandson Kolt. Denise and I are recent empty nesters. We live in far North West Fort Worth.
Jim and Sue have been at Heritage (formerly Midtown) since June of 1979.
Jim served Heritage as preaching minister for more than 34 years before transitioning to the role of Executive Minister in January of 2014. Jim previously served eight years in Youth Ministry. He began full-time preaching ministry in 1977 at the Overland Church of Christ in St. Louis, Missouri and then moved here. Jim currently teaches an adult Bible class on Sunday mornings and facilitates a small group on Wednesday night. He loves to play golf, travel, hunt and fish. Jim was appointed as a shepherd in August of 2014.
Sue is retired having worked 7 years as office manager for Paul Miller Custom Pools, 13 years for Sweet Publishing and 4 years for the Texas State Railroad Commission. She currently facilitates Monday Night Bible Study for women and is a mentor in the MOM’s Group (Mothers of Miracles) at Heritage. She loves to travel, sew, hunt and fish.
Jim and Sue have been married since 1965 having met at the age of 5. They have 2 adult children – Todd who lives in South Dakota and Talanda who lives in North Richland Hills. They treasure their 3 grandchildren who are Sean, Suzy and Mason.
John and Joann have been a part of Heritage since before it began. John is the Worship minister at Heritage and Joann is an oil and gas accounting supervisor for Bass Enterprises. They have three sons and two daughter-in-laws and one grandchild, all are here at Heritage.
Mark and Jenna met at Abilene Christian University where they both graduated in 1994 and were then married that same year. They moved to Fort Worth so that Jenna could continue with her education. She obtained her Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Texas in Arlington.
Mark and Jenna have attended Heritage/Midtown since 1996. They have five children, Chase, Dylan, Cade, Nathan (Nate) and Emma. Mark is a claims supervisor for Progressive Insurance, while Jenna runs an adoption services business, Adoption Answers, Inc. Mark is active with the Heritage Youth Ministry and Jenna is active with the Heritage Children's Ministry.
Bill and Jan Knebusch moved to the Fort Worth area in 2010 and have been members at Heritage since October 2010. Bill is currently Vice President – Geology for Excalibur Resources, LLC. Jan is currently a professional make-up artist for Christian Dior.
Prior to coming to Fort Worth the Knebusch’s lived in Amarillo for 16 years and attended the Amarillo Church of Christ. While attending the Amarillo Church of Christ Bill taught classes on creation and help coordinate communion and multi-media services. Jan was involved with the Ladies bible classes. Currently Bill is very involved with coordinating communion services and has recently become involved in serving with Celebrate Recovery. Jan is very active in the Women’s ministry and has been involved with Moms of Miracles.
Bill and Jan were married in 1978 and have 3 children and 10 grandchildren. Misty, our oldest daughter, and her husband King live in Canyon Lake, Texas. They have two sons Roman and Noah who are both currently attending the University of Texas. Levi is our middle son and along with his wife Shannon live in Amarillo, Texas. They have five children: Madison, Londen, Britton, Gracyn, and Hudson. Leila is our youngest daughter and with her husband Greg live in Amarillo, Texas. They have three children: Turner, Tripp, and Titus.
Steven grew up attending Northwest Church of Christ (with his grandmother) where he and Bonnie were later married in 1986. After starting a family in 1991, they rededicated their lives and were baptized at Midtown beginning their relationship with the Midtown / Heritage Church family. It has been home ever since!
Steven and Bonnie currently serve in Children’s Ministry & the Greeters Ministry. They also enjoy being a part of outreach events at heritage. Over the years, they have taught Children’s classes, led Youth Small Groups and participated in Children & Youth camps and mission trips. They both have a heart for reaching the lost and helping others connect at Heritage.
Steven is a Pipeline Operator for Enlink Midstream (an oil & gas company) while Bonnie is the Senior Administrator in the Heritage Church office. They have a daughter Kellsey, son Karson, daughter-in-love Kaitlyn and precious grandson Jax Riley. They enjoy spending time with family and playing golf together!
Phil and Diane Laster have been a part of Midtown/Heritage since 1987 and have been married for 27 years with two boys, Ethan 23, and Caleb 20. Phil is the VP of Supply Chain for Ashland Hardware Systems in Irving and Diane was a former staff member in the Heritage Office and now works in the office of Heritage Christian Preschool.
Both Phil and Diane have been involved in several ministries over the years and were very involved in Heritage Youth Ministry for several years while their boys were in youth. They both are now very active in teaching Starting Point classes and Phil is a regular teacher of Sunday morning adult classes. Phil continues to be involved in That Was Me and Diane is a regular volunteer in the nursery on Sunday mornings.
Johnny grew up most of his life in Texas. He has served churches in Oklahoma and Texas as a youth minister and adult education minister. His formal education includes a bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma Christian, a master’s degree from Abilene Christian, and a doctorate from Baylor. He is married to Rhonda Hayes, and they have 3 grown children—Caleb, Hannah, and Leah. Johnny also teaches at TCU in the Religion department. He currently serves as a small group leader but also coordinates ministries at Heritage that benefit the community, such as ESL/FriendSpeak, Habitat for Humanity, and food drives for the Keller Community Storehouse. When not studying the Bible, writing or serving the community, Johnny enjoys traveling, hiking mountains, exercise, and anything involving time with his family.
Rusty and Jennifer Moore married March 23rd 1985. We have two children Nathan and Cory Moore who are married to Brittany and Lydiaand have children of their own. The grand kids are Hudson, Levi and Lou. Jennifer and I became members of Heritage in 2008 when we moved to the area from Decatur, TX. We love to vacation and spend time with family and friends.
Tom is a native of Fort Worth, Texas who happened to spend a short 25 years in a southern suburb of Fort Worth called Houston. He gladly returned to Fort Worth in 2004 and began worshipping with Heritage immediately. Tom is married to the love of his life, Connie Bellows Moulder. His four children are: a foster son, David Ward, sons Timothy Wayne Moulder, Thomas Wesley Moulder, and Tyson William Moulder.
Tom is an IT professional having worked for both hardware and software companies as well as operating his own company. Tom’s wife, Connie, is a Licensed Professional Counselor in private practice. Tom was baptized on June 5, 1960 and has been an elder since Dec. 18, 2005.
My name is Lindsey Myatt, and my wife is Karen. We currently live in Haslet, TX. We have 3 grown children and a bundle of grandchildren who live across the state. Karen and I were both born in Lubbock, and we grew up on family farms in West Texas.
I have worked for the Coca-Cola Company as a Finance Manager for most of my career, and a company reorganization is how we found our way to Fort Worth in 2009. Before coming to Heritage, I served in leadership roles at the Abernathy Church of Christ for over 20 years.
Jason and Amy moved from Oklahoma Christian in the spring of 1996, after they were married. They were members of College Hill Church of Christ for 10 years until 2006 when they placed membership at Heritage. They are both heavily involved in the Children’s Ministry and love volunteering for many community events throughout the year.
Jason works as a Regional IT Director and has worked for Marriott for 18 years. He is also heavily involved as an adult leader in the Boy Scout Troop that is sponsored by the church. Amy serves the church as the Preschool Ministry Coordinator and is very passionate about introducing young children to God for the first time.
They have three boys that occupy most of their time: Cole – 14, Luke – 13, and Elijah – 3.
Mark has been married to his best friend, Kristi, for 28 years. They have two sons; Jake, who currently lives and works in Oklahoma and Kyle, who is married to their beautiful daughter-in-love, Brianna. They both have been members at Heritage/Midtown since 1999 and have endeavored to serve Him faithfully throughout those years by working with others in the Children's ministry, Youth ministry and various other opportunities. Mark is a part of the vital, growing Men's ministry and currently serves with some other fabulous volunteers in the Landing ministry (Celebrate Recovery for Teens). Both also serve as Small group leaders in the GR8 Groups ministry.
Gary and Maureen (Mo) met at a Bible study in 1994, and were married in 1997. Gary grew up in the church and is a "preacher's kid". He served as a Youth Minister for ten years in Round Rock, Texas. Gary is currently an Administrator in Fort Worth ISD, and owns a custom picture framing business. Mo grew up in "Jolly Olde" (the UK). She worked in Germany for five years before moving to the US. She became a Christian at age 32 and says it was the best decision of her life! She has had an interesting career as an Administrative Assistant in various industries, and has worked in the non-profit world for the last 23 years.
Gary and Mo have two children and 6 grandchildren, with a 7th on the way. They all live in Austin.
The Stolz's have worshipped at Heritage since it met in the High School, and have been part of the same small group for the past 10 years. Gary has taught adult Bible classes and is actively involved in the Communion Ministry. Gary and Mo have a deep love for Heritage church. They are both humbled and honored to be asked to participate in the Shepherding Ministry at Heritage, and are looking forward to the service opportunities that lie ahead.
Shortly after retirement, Monte and Brooke decided to relocate to Fort Worth area; hoping to be more involved with their two sons’ family activities (school and sports). The Heritage Church of Christ had been recommended to us by church family members in Lubbock. One visit to Heritage was all it took. We placed our membership in February 2015.
Prior to coming to Heritage, we worshiped with the Monterey Church of Christ in Lubbock, Texas. We were members of Monterey for over 35 years and served that church as a deacon for over 25 years. As a deacon at Monterey Church of Christ, I lead three ministries: Senior Adults, Family Promise (homeless families), and transportation. We also participated in other church activities as a couple: teaching in Bible classes, visitation and small group leaders, mission trips, Hope Lodge (cancer patients), and orphan care.
As I mentioned above, we have two sons with their families in the area. Paul and Teresa have four children: Ariel, Lyndsey, Zach, and Daniel. They live in Fort Worth. David and Kelly have two children: Kaitlyn and Jacob. They live in Flower Mound.
Our passion is to serve and love others in every possible way as we continue our walk with the Lord. Heritage helps us fulfil this commitment. It is a wonderful place for us to anchor.
Tim and Olga have been attending Heritage since early 2005. We have 4 children and 7 grandchildren. We found at Heritage a church home that is dedicated to service to others and that‘s a great fit for us. We are both involved in several ministries at Heritage on Sunday and we participate in other ministries that reach out to folks at Heritage and in our local communities. We enjoy our association with each and every one.
