You get them by doing the same thing over and over. Sometimes that's a good thing and sometimes it's not. For example, if you're learning to play the guitar then it's a good thing - your fingers get much happier when you get a nice callous built up - you don't feel the pain so much. But what about doing the same thing over and over in your worship time? After a while you may be doing it without any feeling. When that happens you have to change something to get the feeling back.
